I recently enjoyed a two-night stay combining work and leisure at this hotel, and it was a delightful experience. The value for money was excellent, with exceptional customer service and immaculately clean rooms. ( bit outdated though) The only drawback I encountered was the limited spa access for children. Despite the spa's advertised opening hours until 9 or 10 pm, children are only allowed from 9 am to 6 pm. I was informed that this restriction is due to public memberships and the desire to provide quiet time for adult guests. While I understand the need for balance, I believe hotel guests should be given priority, especially considering the spa's small size. Limiting public access could enhance the experience for staying guests. Despite this minor issue, everything else about my stay was worthy of a 5-star rating. The hotel's commitment to quality service and cleanliness was evident throughout my visit.

Family member had booked us in for 2 nights, We had an absolutely amazing time at Holiday Inn Peterborough - West, an IHG Hotel.The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the gym which was amazing and clean. Definitely would recommend and can't wait to visit again. Ps thank you to the chef for an amazing omelette 😋 👌

Hello, I had a one-week stay (business) at this hotel last year in April. The food and service is really good, the staff very friendly. Now I come to my not so great experience, because unfortunately I had already tried to contact the hotel by mail and got no information I will now share my bad experience via this way. I was given a disabled room on the ground floor next to the fitness studio. As soon as I entered the room I got a musty smell (drain) it was also very cold because the windows are no longer tight it draws in the room. Unfortunately, I caught legionella and had a severe case of pneumonia at home. Unfortunately this could not be confirmed as the health authorities in England do not seem to carry out any checks. As I was only in your hotel during the whole period and the health authority had carried out measurements at my home and the water pipes are in order, it can only have happened in your hotel. I was ill for several weeks as this caused an inflammation of the nerves which is still causing me problems today. As I said, there was no response to direct contact via email. 16.01. thank you for your reply: i had the email address from your hp. As I only had one trip to your hotel in the UK during this period and nowhere else, only your hotel comes into question. The symptoms of the illness and the length of time until the pneumonia was pronounced were caused by Legionella and the doctor confirmed that it must have happened during this period. I also had the first signs of it during my stay in your hotel on the second day and was lying in bed with a fever, this can be confirmed by my colleagues. At first I thought I had eaten something wrong. See info (The first symptoms of Legionnaires' disease appear about 2 to 10 days after contact with the pathogen, usually 5 to 6 days. The time between infection and the outbreak of Pontiac fever is about 5 hours to 3 days, usually 8 to 24 hours) I would like to point out again that I was not in any other hotel before or after and only at home. The Holiday Inn Peterborough West hosted my Mums 80th Birthday Party and they literally could not have done enough to make a very happy lady have a night to remember. From Leeanne in revenue, who was a consumate professional throughout with her pinpoint organisation and was extremely reassuring, to the staff led by Courtney and Stacey on the night the event on the whole was a spellbinding success. A huge massive thank you to the HIPW and all the staff involved. Highly recommend for your event of all events 😁

Good size rooms. Not bad beds. Pillows - not great but for 1-2 nights are fine. Good breakfast and dinner. Bar is fine also :)

I had a lovely meal. Service from Sadia was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Apple crumble was a bit soft, otherwise I'd give 5*.

We had the best time surprising at the fabulous Holiday Inn Peterborough, what a fabby venue. The staff on the night were amazing helping us with our surprise and a big shout out to Leeanne in the events team for helping us and being a fab member of TEAM SECRET. We cannot wait to come back! Rooms are nice enough, easy to get to, but wouldn’t go back. AVOID this hotel if you have food allergies and don’t want to feel like a second class citizen. Went to the bar this evening and as going to order a pizza, I suffer from really sensitive anaphylaxis, given they were unsure of the ingredients in the pizza sauce I decide not to create a fuss and get a takeaway. Something I have done many other Holiday Inn and Crown Plaza hotels without any issue. I bough a drink at the bar and was watching the football. I stayed in the corner out of the way and nowhere near the restaurant. I was stunned when I was basically sent to my room, apparently you can’t eat your own food in ‘any of the public areas’. In stark contrast, last night at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth the provided plates, knives and forks and couldn’t have been more helpful. I didn’t want to eat in my room as it’s pretty dark and pretty isolated. I am an IHG (their own loyalty programme) Diamond Elite Ambassador and have been for a number of years, we book 100”s of meeting rooms a year with them and all of our staff stay in their hotels. Not anymore, I want nothing to do with an organisation that shows this level of discrimination. What made it worse was the receptionist comment of ‘they may allow it in a Holiday Inn Express’ as if there is a class system. Try going to the Intercontinental on Park Lane and they could teach you something about customer service. Really disappointed.

Hotel staff were extremely rude to a group of 18 staying guests. The pool was closed for the entire weekend, the restaurant food was horrific and a crack head stealing from kids and smoking weed in the hallway. When we asked for a refund for the second night 5 times she all of a sudden did not speak English. Service has a 1 because 0 was not an option. If this person is at the desk, expect the worst.

Great hotel with everything you could want and more!! The gym is better than most gyms I’ve seen at hotels and the spa facilities are great! I love that they give you two types of pillows as well. One firm and one on the softer side. The washing facilities in the rooms were good though I do think the water pressure could be better on the third floor as the shower wasn’t too strong. The hair wash and body wash were great too. The only thing that could be better is the food at the restaurant. I found myself eating out most nights as the food there isn’t the best. One of my colleagues has the sea bass and got a really poorly tummy so I’d stay away from that!! There is a golf range just down the road and so it’s a great pastime for the evenings too.
